HPL Recruitment are working with a fantastic leisure resort in Dundee who are looking for an experienced Chef to join their busy kitchen team.

 

This is a permanent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast paced hospitality environment, has a genuine passion for food and takes pride in delivering great dishes consistently.

 

The role:

 

You’ll be part of a busy kitchen team preparing and cooking food for the restaurant and events across the resort.

 

Your day to day will include:

• Preparing and cooking dishes to a consistently high standard
• Following recipes, specifications and portion controls
• Ensuring food is prepared and served promptly
• Keeping the kitchen clean, safe and hygienic
• Managing stock and helping to control food costs and waste
• Working closely with the wider kitchen and F&B team
• Maintaining high food hygiene and safety standards
• Working evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays when required

 

What we’re looking for:

• Previous experience as a Chef, Chef de Partie, Commis Chef or Line Cook
• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
• A genuine passion for food
• Strong communication and organisation skills
• Ability to work calmly under pressure
• A positive, can do attitude
• Good team player who is happy to get stuck in

 

Experience within a busy holiday park, resort or high volume hospitality environment would be a bonus, as would previous experience supervising other members of the kitchen team.
