HPL Recruitment are working with a fantastic holiday park in Hampshire who are looking for an experienced Kitchen Manager to lead their busy kitchen operation.

 

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Head Chef or Kitchen Manager who wants the chance to be creative with fresh, from scratch cooking, menu development and seasonal specials, whilst still working within a busy, high volume environment.

 

The role:

You’ll lead and inspire the kitchen team, oversee the day to day Back of House operation and work closely with the Front of House team to deliver great food and an excellent guest experience.

 

Your day to day will include:

• Leading and managing the kitchen team
• Taking control of key shifts and the daily BOH operation
• Ensuring food is prepared and delivered to consistently high standards
• Creating fresh, from scratch dishes and seasonal specials
• Working with suppliers and sourcing local products
• Supporting recruitment, training and development of the kitchen team
• Managing stock and controlling food margins
• Monitoring financial KPIs and working within budget
• Ensuring all food hygiene, health and safety standards are maintained
• Working closely with the F&B Manager and wider management team

 

What we’re looking for:

• Previous experience as a Head Chef or Kitchen Manager
• Experience leading a team within a busy, high volume kitchen
• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate minimum, ideally Level 3
• Strong understanding of food costs, margins and financial KPIs
• Excellent organisation and communication skills
• A genuine passion for food and fresh cooking
• Confident leadership skills
• Someone who thrives under pressure and enjoys a busy environment

 

Holiday park or resort experience would be a bonus, but isn't essential.
