HPL Recruitment Shortlisted for Rising Star at the UK Start

Some news genuinely stops you in your tracks. Finding out HPL Recruitment has been shortlisted for Rising Star at the UK Start Up Awards (Wales)

was one of those moments.


Not because we've been chasing awards, we haven't, but because it means something. It's an outside voice saying: what you're doing is good.


When we started HPL, the goal wasn't to out-speed or out-volume anyone. It was to do things differently. To build a business with real values baked in from the start, not bolted on later. To focus on long-term impact over quick wins.


In recruitment, there's always pressure to move fast. We've chosen to move carefully instead and to actually do what we say we'll do. That sounds simple. In practice, it's the hardest thing to get right consistently.


Candidate experience. Client experience. Both matter.


Anyone in the holiday park world knows how much guest experience defines a business. We think about recruitment the same way.

Being shortlisted alongside five other businesses this week is genuinely humbling , especially this early on. But it hasn't happened by accident. It's come from having a clear direction, setting real targets, and refusing to scale at the expense of our values.

We're not trying to be the biggest recruitment business in the sector. We're trying to be the most trusted.
